Areas of Specialty:
PTSD/trauma counseling
Trauma can deeply affect how you think, feel, and connect with others. You may find yourself feeling on edge, disconnected, or stuck in painful memories that seem impossible to move past. These are natural responses to overwhelming experiences — not signs of weakness.
As a trauma-informed therapist in Connecticut, I create a safe environment for healing. I offer support to help you integrate past experiences. Together we will work to rebuild a sense of safety and control. We’ll use evidence-based techniques like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The main goal is to reduce distress. We will process difficult memories at your pace, aiming to restore balance to both mind and body.
You don’t have to face trauma alone — recovery is possible. With the right support, you can move forward with greater confidence, peace, and connection in your life.
Loss and Grief Support
Grief looks different for everyone. You don’t have to go through grief alone — healing happens through understanding, support, and connection.
Loss can touch every part of life. You may experience this through the death of a loved one or the ending of a relationship. A major life change can leave you feeling lost. Grief isn’t something to “get over.” It’s a process of learning to live with what’s been lost while finding new ways to hold meaning, connection, and hope.
As a grief-informed therapist, I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to help you make sense of your emotions and navigate the changes that come with loss. Together, we’ll explore ways to honor your experience, strengthen coping tools, and gently reconnect with life in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
Whether you’re coping with a recent loss or one that still feels raw years later, I offer a supportive space to help you process your emotions, find meaning, and begin to heal — at your own pace.
Therapy for Anxiety, Depression, Mood Changes
Changes in mood can affect every part of your life — from how you think and sleep, to how you connect with others. You may notice feelings of sadness, worry, irritability, or emptiness that come and go, or seem to linger no matter what you do. These experiences are common, and they don’t define who you are.
As a therapist providing mood and anxiety therapy, I offer a supportive space to understand what’s driving these changes and to develop skills for relief and balance. Using evidence-based, compassionate approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based strategies, we’ll work together to manage emotional ups and downs, reduce anxiety, and strengthen coping skills.
Therapy can help you feel more in control of your emotions, regain energy and motivation, and create more stability in your daily life.
Life Transitions
Change is a natural part of life — but even positive transitions can bring stress, uncertainty, or grief. Whether you’re adjusting to a new role, career, relationship, loss, or stage of life, it’s normal to feel unsteady as you navigate what comes next. Therapy offers space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with your values as you move through change.
As a therapist specializing in life transitions, I help clients find clarity, balance, and direction during times of uncertainty. Together, we’ll explore what this change means for you, strengthen coping tools, and build confidence in your ability to adapt and thrive.
Change doesn’t have to feel overwhelming — it can become an opportunity for growth, insight, and renewal.
Women’s Issues
Therapy for women navigating stress, self-worth, relationships, and life transitions. Build confidence, balance, and connection to your authentic self.
Women often carry unique pressures — balancing roles, relationships, and expectations while navigating life changes, identity, and emotional well-being. You may be struggling with self-doubt, burnout, body image concerns, relationship stress, or transitions such as motherhood, perimenopause, or career shifts. Therapy provides a space to explore these experiences with understanding and compassion.
As a therapist supporting women in Connecticut, I work to help you strengthen your self-worth, set healthy boundaries, and connect more deeply with your authentic needs and values. Together, we’ll work to reduce stress, improve emotional balance, and build confidence in both personal and professional areas of life.
You don’t have to navigate these challenges alone — healing and empowerment start with giving yourself permission to be supported.
Integrative Mental Health Therapy
Healing involves the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Emotional distress often shows up in the body as tension, fatigue, or physical discomfort, just as physical health challenges can impact mood and energy. An integrative approach honors the connection between emotional and physical well-being, helping you find balance and resilience from the inside out.
As a holistic therapist, I draw from mindfulness, somatic awareness, lifestyle strategies (exercise, nutrition, stress-reduction), and evidence-based practices like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to support your overall wellness. Together, we’ll explore how your mind and body communicate, find stress patterns, and build sustainable practices that promote healing and vitality. Integrative therapy helps you not only manage symptoms but also deepen self-awareness and create a lifestyle that supports your long-term well-being.
