Helping you care for yourself, reconnect with your strengths,
and create a life that feels balanced and meaningful.
About Sarah

Hello, and welcome. I’m Sarah Abraham, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and founder of 3C Counseling and Wellness. I provide therapy for adults and young adults in Connecticut who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and other challenges that can affect emotional well-being.
My goal is to create a space where you feel welcomed, supported, and understood. Therapy can offer the opportunity to slow down. It allows you to explore your experiences and develop tools that help you move forward with greater clarity and balance.
The 3C Approach
At the heart of my work are the 3C’s: Caring, Connecting, and Creating.
Caring – Beginning with empathy, compassion, and curiosity about your experiences.
Connecting – Reconnecting with your strengths, values, and supportive relationships.
Creating – Developing practical tools and strategies that help you build a life that feels more balanced and meaningful.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process. Together we will explore your strengths, identify barriers to wellness, and develop strategies that support meaningful change.
My work integrates evidence-based and holistic approaches, including:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and coping skills
- Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma processing
- Integrative wellness strategies that consider lifestyle, stress, and overall well-being
Who I Often Work With
Many people reach out when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about their next steps. I often support individuals who are navigating:
- Trauma or difficult past experiences
- Anxiety, depression, or mood changes
- Life transitions and identity shifts
- Parenting challenges and breaking generational patterns
- Grief, loss, or relationship stress
Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feeling that something in your life needs to change, therapy can provide space to explore what matters most and develop a path forward.
Experience & Training
I received my Bachelors degree in Social Work from Providence College and my Masters in Social Work from Springfield College. I am an independently licensed clinical social worker in Connecticut with training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
With over 15 years of experience in mental health, education, medical, and community settings, I have worked with individuals and families across many stages of life.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love nature and engaging in art, yoga and dance. I also strive to practice many of the mindfulness and wellness strategies that I share with clients. I believe that small, intentional steps toward caring for ourselves can create meaningful change over time.
